The Department of Christian Religious Studies, Federal College of Education, Zaria, Kaduna State Nigeria is embarking on a scholarly and academic project and wishes to invite you to contribute a chapter to the publication.
The aim of the project is to bridge the dearth of relevant Christian religious studies reading materials with well researched and current information in the highlighted areas. The publication shall be for the immediate benefit of undergraduate students in the department of Christian Religious Studies, especially across Nigeria, and the reading pleasure of the wider society.
Available Chapters are:
Christian religious studies in the society
Chapter 3: Methods in christian religious studies
Chapter 4: Llingua tools and requirments for the study of the bible
Chapter 5: An introduction to the study of the bible
Foundations of Christianity
Chapter 6: The life and teaching of christ and the problematique of the gospels
Chapter 7: Paul: his life, teaching and theology
Chapter 9: A study of selected themes in christian doctrine
Biblical history and religion of Israel
Chapter 10: Manners and customs of biblical world
Chapter 11: A history and religion of Israel: from primordial times to the judges
Chapter 12: A history and religion of Israel: from the monarchy to the fall of Judah
Chapter 13: A history and religion of Israel: from the last days of Judah through selected prophets
Church history
Chapter 14: The acts of the apostles and Paul's missionary gains
Chapter 15: Empire Christianity, controversies and orthodoxy
Chapter 16: Medieval and later church history
Chapter 17: West African Christianity: ecumenical needs and relationships
Dogma and apologetics
Chapter 18: Christian dogma
Chapter 19: Faith, doubts and reasoning
Chapter 20: Christian hermeneutics
The deadline to indicate your interest is October 15, 2018. If your subject area is vacant you shall be notified immediately.
Articles are expected to be in Chicago Manual Style or MLA format. Documents should be presented in Microsoft Word format, (Times New Roman, 12 font size), between 4,000-8,000 words and are due by 15th December 2018.
Note that a vetting fee of N5,000 shall be paid for the initial review of submitted article. If the article is thereafter accepted for publication, the author shall be required to pay a sum of N20,000 towards the publication of the article.
A free digital galley copy shall be issued at press point, and five copies of the published book shall be made available to authors whose work appear in the final publication.
